hand applique is a slow, traditiona hand sewing technique developed to layer fabric in order to create geometric designs. blind-stitching the layers together is only achievable by hand and is the true hero in achieving a sleek transition from the fabric shape into its background, adding so much dimension and depth to an otherwise two dimensional format.

kiera and i utilize a lot of hand work in our pieces, each of these are a true labor of love and feels deeply special.
